Welcome to the homepage for Carla Wood, otherwise known as CJ Williamson, editor of Classical Singer magazine.* This website is about my career as a singer. You can see photos, read reviews and the bio of the life of one mezzo soprano!

*The story of the name: My full name is Carla Jean Williamson Wood. I grew up being called "CJ." When we started the magazine, my manager at the time, Michael Rosen at Lombardo Associates, didn't want me to use my singing name, Carla Wood, for the magazine. I decided to use my maiden name "CJ Williamson" for the magazine and "Carla Wood" for the rest of my life. It's worked very well and I thank Michael for that great piece of advice.
